Traditional Pandas workflows have long been the go-to for Python data analysis, but as datasets grow larger and queries more complex, performance bottlenecks can hold you back.
In this talk, you'll learn how DuckDB (it's like SQLite for analysis) is replacing Pandas. It's faster, runs on multiple cores, takes less memory, handles more data, runs on multiple languages, even runs in the browser, connects to far more data sources, and uses SQL which is more popular than Pandas.
Through live coding examples, you'll see real-world scenarios where DuckDB not only complements but in many cases outperforms Pandas. Plus, you don't have to learn DuckDB since LLMs will write most of your code for you.

Anand is an LLM psychologist at Straive. (It's not an official title. He just calls himself that.) He co-founded Gramener, a data science company that narrates visual data stories, which Straive acquired. He is considered one of India's top 10 data scientists and is a regular TEDx/PyCon speaker.
Anand is a gold medalist at IIM Bangalore and an alumnus of IIT Madras, London Business School, IBM, Infosys, Lehman Brothers, and BCG.
More importantly, he has hand-transcribed every Calvin & Hobbes strip ever and dreams of watching every film on the IMDb Top 250.
